Our bookshop and Novel Sounds the record shop is located at the top end of the High Street, opposite All Saints Church. If you can’t find us, please do feel free to give us a call for directions!

We are not seeking to expand our team at this time. However, please monitor our website and in-store postings for future opportunities.

We accept National Book Tokens for purchases in store.

Unfortunately, we do not sell or buy in secondhand books.

Please know that Howard, the owner of Novel Sounds, is only in the shop Wednesday – Saturday.
Please contact the shop and Howard directly if you’d like to sell your vinyl collection before bringing them into the shop.

Author Submissions

Our bookshop is happy to support local and independently published authors. We accept all submissions by email, addressed to Olivia at maldonbooksltd@gmail.com 

In your email, please include a bio, a brief description of the book, and an image of the book’s cover too. As we get quite a few stock enquiries, it would be handy to include ‘Author Submission’ in the subject line, so your email won’t get lost in our inbox. 

We kindly ask that all authors wanting us to stock their book get in touch this way. This is our preferred method of contact for submissions, and allows us the time to give your book our full attention and consideration. We will always try to give any book a go if we feel that it’s a good fit for our shop and customers. 

We do try to respond as soon as we can, though please note that in busy periods our response times may vary.
