Come along to a children’s writing workshop with local author, Lana Spinks, on Sunday 16th November. Lana will be hosting a workshop for young readers and writers, whilst discussing her own children’s book, ‘Winter.’
About Winter
Winter is a little girl who lives in a house near the park with her pet rabbit, Dit. Winter has blonde curly hair and bright blue eyes. Her favourite activity is to play in the snow. This is a story about Winter and Dit on a snowy day.
About Lana Spinks
My name is Lana Spinks and I am the author of a book for children called Winter. I live in Burnham with my husband, son and of course not forgetting my dachshund Lula and Scottish fold cat Elsa. I was born in Colchester and as a child always loved writing stories, although I would call myself a storyteller rather than a writer. After many years, I became an author which came to me in a dream not long after my first granddaughter called Winter was born. I quickly wrote down my dream and realised I had a book all about a little girl called Winter, her rabbit Dit and sister Autumn. I sent my book to a publisher and they emailed me back, and to my surprise they wanted to publish my book. So in September 2023 my book Winter was released.
Copies of Lana’s book will be available to purchase and have signed at the event too!
Spaces are limited!
