Evening Discussion: Wildlife of Maldon: An Illustrated Talk with John Buchanan

Join us for an illustrated talk with local author, John Buchanan, on the wildlife and heritage of Maldon.

We’re excited to host a special evening with John Buchanan, author of one of our bestselling books, Wildlife of Maldon.

John will present an illustrated talk on the remarkable natural history of our town and how it has changed over time. Based on two decades of observation, he will discuss what species can be found here throughout the year, from butterflies to seals and from orchids to barn owls.

John will also be happy to answer questions about the best places locally to see the different species he has mentioned.

We’ll be hosting this discussion upstairs at The Blue Boar Hotel on the 17th November, at 7pm.

Tickets are £5 and can be bought either through our EventBrite page here, or directly in the shop. We’ll also have plenty of copies of John’s book available to purchase and have signed at the event. Please feel free to arrive beforehand to get a drink at the bar and get settled.
